Another Shock Question
« on: November 07, 2016, 10:38:54 am »
After doing a lot of searching, I'm still not sure what type of shocks to get for my odd ball truck. Standard or heavy duty, and then how deep my pocket goes.

94' Cheyenne W/T "work truck" 2500....305, 6 lug, 16" wheels, 2 WD, extended cab w/a 6'6" bed. Stock truck. I've always considered it as a heavy duty 1/2 ton. Just not so sure now.

It's a everyday driver, no off road stuff. I don't tow or do any hauling. Just wanting to make it a decent rider. About to make my 1200 mile run west for the winter.

Any suggestion's on which I need and the best bang for   a buck?

Being that there's not towing or hauling, I'd go with the standard shock.

I like KYB Gas-a-just shocks. Lots of people love Bilstein 5100"s but they're expensive. I've never tried a set, so I don't know if they're worth the extra money.

im putting KYB g2 on my 04 impala. think theyre mainly for a firmer ride. my 04 impala is a SS so it has a firmer ride anyway so i wouldnt go with the g2 for a truck
