Can I use a TH400 speedometer cable on the TH350?
« on: December 24, 2016, 12:17:58 pm »
Like the title says. I have the TH350, but autozone just has ones for TH350 and 700r.. Can I use the cable for the TH400? Is it the same?

If I am reading this correctly, yes the cable end that fastens to all the transmissions are the same

i think the main thing is the length. the th400 is generally longer than the th350 but it depends on the tail shaft

I got it. I'll find out tomorrow if it's the right length, lol. Seems alright. Gonna be fun getting the other one and this one through the firewall though -_-

Actually Irish I would think that they would be about the same length. (The speedo cables) Strictly talking 2wd, the TH400 has its speedo gear is in the rear of the case, whereas the TH350 is in the tail housing. Considering that the TH400's case is longer this should place them similarly in the same spot.

I got the cable and it fit and all. The 80" cable was a little too long, though. I'd say maybe 10" or so. The old cable actually had 2. It was a shorter extension like cable attached to a longer one that went through the firewall.
