im buidling my 77's inline 6 250 engine up. what kind of ignition system should i use. should i keep my hei distributor and buy a msd coil. what do u guys recomend?

The GM HEI is good to about 5500 rpm. I dought you will be turning up the 6 cyl over that with the stock internals too long. You can change the coil and module to give a hotter spark and use some good wires. That should make the 250 run better.
