85 gmc k2500 engine removal problem

What's up guys? I just picked up a 1985 GMC Sierra K2500 and i need to take the motor out since theres a fist-sized hole in the side of the block. I can literally move the connecting rod lol. Anyways, I need to know how to separate the engine from the bell housing (it's a factory 4 speed) and i am completely baffled, i know this may be easy but i'm used to working on Evo's and other imports. Feel free to help out i'm putting in another 350 which is out of a 1966 Nova SS (Pre-86 350).  Heres a picture of the truck if you are wondering...

Remove the lower dust shield(if still attached) then it's either 5 or 7 bolts that attach the bell housing to block-use some rachet straps to hold front of transmission up. Two bolts for engine mounts. And depending on implement for removal (engine hoist or tractor,) either removal of hood, or front radiator support/grille and air down the tires.

Some people do remove the bell housing from tranny, rather then bellhousing from engine, but for me I find it easier to leave bell housing on tranny.

Don't forget to disconnect wires, and exhaust.
