« on: April 17, 2018, 12:31:53 pm »
Hi guys I got an 87 Silverado with a 350 carburetor This  dang thing will crank but not start I've changed the distributor cap, rotor, ign module, coil , fusible link , and ign starter on column. Any idea what else it could be I'm stumped going to change pickup coil this evening any ideas would be appreciated

Check the ignition fuse.

Check for spark at the plugs.

Check for power to the coil with the key on and then for power when cranking.

Which fusible link did you check?

these engines are pretty simple, air+fuel+compression= engine running. what distributor do you have? an 87 should be tbi but if you have a carb im wondering what else was changed and did it run before all this work?

have you verified its getting fuel? have you verified its getting spark? have you set your base timing?
