Blazer to pickup conversion

i have an 80 Blazer that the body is completely rotted out behind the front end, what i'm wandering is can i take the cab and bed from a pickup from about the same years and will everything match up as far as mounting holes, will the transfer case or th350 have any problems with fit?? any help on this would be greatly appreciated

The cab and the front clip of the truck will bolt on. As far as a bed goes you are gunna either make one or shorten one. I am not positive of the new bed length but I helped a buddy do the same thing you are talking about doing. I know we ended up making a flat bed for it and if I remember correctly the bed was about 52" long. Considerably shorter that a short box. If you look at a blazer versus a shorty you will notice that the blazer is considerably shorter. I have bobbed a couple of beds for guys, and it is alot of work but if you want a bed thats what you are gunna have to do.  Good luck,   James

The frames for  Blazer vs Pickup are not only shorter, they also don't look the same.  You would have to hack the bed up just to get it to fit (in addition to shortening it)  The rear frame rails kick up and out on a Blazer.
