steering arm removal

I HAVE A 1987 1/2 4X4. IM INSTALLING A 4 INCH LIFT AND CAN NOT GET THE 3 CONES TO COME OUT OF THE STEERING ARM TO REMOVE IT. ANY SUGGESTIONS.

PB Blaster, and swat the crap out of it up, down, and on the end.

Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

Use a small punch and hammer on the top of the wedges a few times.  This will jar the rust loose and free them up abit, then use a small chisel and try and spin them using the slot (don't marr them too much unless you have new ones).  Then try using a big sledge up and down.  I just finished putting in my 6'' lift and my arm was off in 10 mins. using this method.  Lots of penetrating oil is mandatory.
