NEED HELP
« on: September 28, 2007, 01:00:42 pm »
I am a new b here from Seattle, I have 90 2wd 1/2ton (old body style) suburban that I am looking to drop 4/6 or 5/7 with 20inch wheels. Who would be be a good outfit to order a lowering kit from? BellTech says they dont make anything for that application. I know the front wont be an issue, just the rear.Any recomendations would be great. Havent ordered wheels yet. If anyone has done this can you please post a pic along with info.
Thanks

Welcome from New Hampshaa.
i am not into lowering trucks but the front, & rear suspension is the same design as a pickup. If they don't offer it for the 1/2 ton Suburban I would get the kit for the 1/2 ton pickup.
Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

Get it for the 1/2T Jimmy/Blazer.  They came with HD spindles (1.25") stock just like the Burbs did.  PN is 3100 for the spindles, 4700 for the springs and 6850 for the flip kit.  You WILL have to make adjustments in the rear most likely for the flip and you DEFINITELY will need to notch the frame.

Any manufacturers kit for the Blazer/Jimmy can be made to fit the 1/2T Burb.

Which kit you recomend is the best to use for this. The burb is a daily driver so I want to have a decent ride quality, also which shocks are best.
