ok i have been told i cannot put a th700 in to my 84 c10 it has a th350 transmission in it right now and the connectors for the electronics are the same so would it work if i swapped it out and used my original electronics?

You can put in a TH700 (700R4) where the TH350 was.  The 700R4 does not use any electronics.  All you need is a lockup harness to lock the torque converter and move the trans crossmember back.  The 700R4 was offered starting in 1982.
