Vin #
« on: December 15, 2007, 01:36:08 pm »
According to my vin # which starts out TKY145
T means GMC
K means 4x4
Y means 454 4BBL
1 means 1/2 ton
4 means pickup
5 means 1975

I didn't know a 454 was available in a 1/2 ton shortbed.    Does anyone know if the 454 was available for my truck?

454's were never offered in 4x4's, only in 4x2's until 1979.

Thanks for the help.   That probably means I still have the original block.
