hood hinge swap

I have the typical hood hinge problems( bent hood and hood sits high in back) with my 79 k20 and have found several mid 80's Chevy trucks at the junkyard with good hood hinges that shut well.

Will the newer style hood hinges fit a 73-80?

Rob, Are you talking '81 & up? If so No they will not fit. The '73-'80 bolt to the fenders & the '81 & newer bolt to the cowl & the prop springs bolt to the fenders. Sorry, Lorne
