hello everyone, new member from kansas
« on: April 08, 2008, 09:34:28 pm »
just wanted to say hello, i just joined this site, but i probably should have joined long ago being i have always seemed to own a Chevy from between the years of 73-87.  i actually right now have a 77 k30, a 77 c20.  a 78 k20, and an 83 c 10.   the k30 is lifted with 40 inch ground hawg tires and a 454.  the c20 has been in my family 28 days longer than i have.  it was bought new in september of 1976.  it has a 350 with a stick and has right under 100k miles.  the 78 k20 is pretty rough and i mainly bought it for parts,  the 83 c 10 has around 80k and is mostly stock.   i just love the look of this 73-87 but mostly the trucks form the late 70's.  i also have a corvette if you couldn't tell by my id. well if anyone has any question for me just ask.    Marty

Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

a buddy of mine has a 74 that he bought new just out of the service, a 454 and a four speed, drove it for 50K miles and sold the engine, transmission  and sold the hood as well. He bought a new GM L88 427 in the crate and a new Doug Nash 5 speed and a factory Can Am hood with a fresh air box, had the heads tweaked at air flow research, what a screamer, bury the tachometer and it is time for another gear, what a ride that car is. an absolute animal.
