New guy in Oklahoma
« on: July 29, 2008, 08:25:13 PM »
Hello all, just thought I'd pop in and say hey.

Here's some history behind me and my truck...

I'm originally from B'Ham AL (born and raised)... I got my truck the day before I turned 16. I drove the living crap out of it! Well, the final straw was when I was rolling down a hill I threw it into reverse for a burn out and roasted the tires.... and the transmission...

So I sold the truck to my friends dad...

After moving to oklahoma I got to missing my home state and went down to visit family. While I was there I bought the truck back and she had a rebuilt transmission. Drove her back to OK and here I am...

I later cracked the head on the original 250 and replaced that with a nice 350.

Now a few years later I'm anxious to get back to the truck...

I plan on installing air bags, a nice big C notch, and going with a silver and black "SS" theme.

Hopefully now that I sold my bike I'll have the extra money to get her done.

So far she has had a 350 swap, electric cooling fan, cut the front coils (bad idea!), took a leaf or two out of the rear (another bad idea), and some other minor crap I did as a kid that I'm now having to repair because I now actually understand what I'm doing

Anyhow, I'll post some pics when I get em....

Welcome from New Hampshaa. Got any pics of your truck?
Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

Welcome from Tennessee. You must really like the truck, to buy it twice... :D . Somebody said once that the best thing to come out of B'Ham was I-65 North, It leads right to Tenn. .Ha! ;D
I'll prolly get censured for that one..

Yeah, no doubt... that truck is a bit of a boomerang, keeps coming back.  Welcome, Ca180!  I like your plan for the silver and black SS theme, sounds excellent! ;D
