SEM Dye for Interior
« on: September 17, 2008, 04:22:43 pm »
My truck will soon be the same color combo as HotRod's white on blue swb and I need to redo the interior.

The question is: Which sem color is closest to stock? I am thinking Wedgewood Blue.

Yep factory 1975 blue and white. 2672 Catalina Blue and 2185 Frost White.

I think the sem wedgewood is too light of a blue and none of the other blues match... might just go buckskin. Opinions?

Pacific looks the closest.
You can get a can and put some flex agent in it and make it semi-gloss and spray it on if you want it perfect.

Yep, Pacific is closest to the main exterior color. I am looking for a contrast, though.

I would go with the darker midnight color if the lower dash is going to be body color.

BTW, I have a SEM sample here if you want to look at it in person....

If you have a competent SEM dealer near you, they can custom-match some SEM paint for you that you can keep the code for and load it into a regular spray gun, eh? That's what I'm going to do.
