Well, he just wants the truck gone so hes willing to part with it for 1000. But he wants the engine for a future project. So its probably 2500 for the engine and 500 to persuade him to let it go. Haha. My dad said hes got quite a chuck of change in that motor. I might be able to talk him down to like 3500 but from what my dad aaid, hes pretty firm on price. Although he asked my dad what hes got around the house to trade and my dad said he could trade his plasma torch and his big 220 welder that he got from his old work when it closed. So maybe those plus 2000? Idk. I can only hope.

they should have added AT LEAST another 40 feet of vacuum line under the hood, to really make it appear as if there's a giant squid wrestling with bagpipes in there.

Now THAT is a description even I wouldn't have thought of! Grim, that's a dandy! Maybe wrapping a couple more feet of heater hose under there would add to the fun  ::)

Oh...but don't EVEN think about making the washer fluid hoses any longer  :o

Another poor design concerning the sbc is the distributor being in the rear of the engine just where all the water sitting on top of the hood drains onto when opening the hood.  The engine then won't start so you have to open up the distributor and dry it out.  Now that my Suburban has a Cummins, it start every time.

It was his idea! Theyve been sitting in a storage shed in our backyard for 2 and a half years and havent been touched once. The construction company he worked for for 10 years closed the doors on them with no notice. So he "acquired" a 220 welder and a plasma torch. And an oxy acetylene torch. And 2 110 welders. And a tool box full of DeWalt drills and tools. But that never happened. *cough cough*. So he said he would love to get that truck for me from his uncle and he would talk to him about trading the welder and torch for it.

Haha. Sorry, but the reason theyve been sitting in a shed out back is because he's paranoid to sell them because he doesnt want his old boss to know where they went. He said his boss is that messed up in the head that he will search all over for these things. My dad considers all of the tools as "his last paycheck". The only reason hes willing to give em to his uncle is because he knows him.
