on my 86 1/2 w 350, 350t and 31s in the back i was getting 12-14 depending on where i got gas. but with the dash in there if you have a known mile you can set it at the start and stop it at the end of the mile and then it will tell you the right mph and distance

I'm in the process of restoring my 78 Scottsdale and a diesel conversion has crossed my mind. I'm not thinking of it for mileage reasons though, I'll probably run it off veggy oil if I go through with it. Several guys I know are running mid to late 90's F350s with no problems. They say they occasionally run some type of cleaner with a tank of diesel to keep everything clean. They have found a couple sources of high quality used oil and say it costs about 40-50 cents a gallon to prep it(filtering process). I feel sure a military donor blazer can be found pretty cheap. My truck is completely torn apart though...yours in finished. Wanna trade  ;D
