Some may disagree and maybe I am putting it too simply but a carb is a carb. A carb mixes fuel and air. The cfm size will determine the max amount of air fuel mixture it will get. The rest is tuning- as long as your tuned to get a proper air/fuel ratio your mpg will be the same no matter the name on the carb. This is why fuel injection works as well as it does for fuel economy. Some of the largest factors for your engines efficiency are heads, compression ratio and cam selection and of course a proper tune on your carb.

im looking at 3 different ones. first one is an 85 c10 sb305  700r4, 45k origional miles. needs paint, almost rust free. guy is a good friend of mine,  but he hasnt descided if he still wants to sell for 1k. next one is an 86 c10 new 350, 700r4, only rust is a little on rockers, but paint is nice on it still. seems like a nice truck. guy want 1200 for that one. and the last one im looking at is a 94 k1500. runs and drives good, 1k. was used as a farm truck, needs a good cleaning!

im kind of leaning towards the 86, but im still not sure. seems like the most solid truck....  ??? ???
