I do gotta say, that is going to be one sweet ride when you are done.  You shouldn't have to worry about another person around you having the same kind of truck.  Great job so far.

I think that you are making one huge mistake...It looks too good but has function to it all. So it's going to be hard to use it the way it's intended to. I would have such a hard time keeping it on the road and making any kind of mileage from either tank. I'm thinking I need something like this to maybe be able to take the whole family off road at the same time...Keep it up.

It may be just the redneck in me but This is by far my favorite build so far. I mean Twin Turbo LM7 are nice CAP, but ridiculous torque and go anywhere capability....oh yea. Not sure I can afford a diesel swap so the blown LS family will likely be my settlement.

lol! thanks. Actually a diesel swap is relatively inexpensive. It's when you start making a lot of horsepower that it can get expensive real quick as i found out. But then again i love the LS motors!! I built up an LS2 in my 05 gto in highschool, but decided to sell it before i did somthing stupid..

I know exactly what you mean...drove an '04 GTO LS1 for a while and it's definitely enough to get you in trouble without mods! Still got that LS2..I know a gut wanting one...MMMEEEEE!!!

I would love to do a diesel, and LOVE this build, but I have to many projects as it is..
BTW mine is a LQ4.  We have one that makes a respectable 700 lb/ft.  Not diesel territory, but enough traction is and issue.

Don't know why I said LM7 I've read through your thread 100 times or better and I knew that. I will definitely agree that you have enough projects...
Eric...there's been 8 post and no pics in-between...What gives!

sorry, i don't usually get on the forums during the week. Put in long hard days at work by the time i get home i'm dog tired and hit the bed right away..
I do still have the LS2! Just the old block that's now my coffee table haha

I bought the car with a locked up motor from sucking up water and threw a new shortblock in it when i was 18. Broke 2 rods and bent 2 others. I gave it a stage 2 spec clutch, longtube ceramic headers straight into sidepipes, ls7 cam, k&n intake and custom diablosport tune. I sold it the next summer when gas was over 4 bucks a gallon!! I love love LOVED that car! I will own another one when i hit mid life crisis lol

My wife would kill me if she walked in and saw that in the living room... I sure hope that block is messed up because I can see a lot of things to do with it other than that. But if it is junk then heck yea couldn't think of a better thing to do with it.

Ok I have to ask. How in the world did you put the new style towing mirrors on there? And what's going to happen with your glass to accomodate the smaller area for wing window?

ok i think i found a good deal, for my build. 2k for a 5.9 turbo to oil pan p style pump. and 2500 for the dodge nv4500 np205. still doing a bit of research, but the prices seam good on the 5.9. asked the guy if we could bolt a dodge bell housing/stuff to a gm nv4500 and he said theres no combo out there that you can just bolt to together and wave a magical wand over and it will work. i could help but laugh. but tonight i found you can infect use a gm nv4500 the 94-96 style i think. but either way i dont have one. now the down side.

apparently the 5.9 doesnt like to see 2k rpms much (mpg wise) but with 38's i should be around 1750 rpms going 65. this i think is doable. but the problem is with our 3+3 work horse we are making/building. wont have 38s she will have 31s and this will put her a 2k going only maybe 60. maybe we can find a way to squeeze 35s under her idk that will up her to 2k at 68. not meaning to hijack your tread, dont see enough here to start a new one. but i was wondering if you have any ideal what i could do?
