It's more like your allowing the axle to flex and move and keep contact with the bottom . I had 5 leafs up front and its down to 3 now . rear was the typical 3/4 with  9 leafs and its down to 4

While you are cutting stuff up why don't you cut up another 14 and turn it in a steering 14!!! talk about built proof!! there are kits out there that will make it go easy..granted when "MOM" sees that credit card mad will take on a new meaning!
