Looks like this entire thread went out in the woods... wasn't it s'posed to be about dashboards?:lol
After 20 years of sitting in the sun, cold and whatever weather it's seen, the truck's dashpad  is probably not repairable and better to just buy a pad cover for it if you're not going to buy a new one. The covers aren't that expensive are they?
I've read where Armor-All is not as good as mink oil or baby oil for keeping the dash pad from cracking.

Iv seen them up to 100$ and so on .....armor all ....your right about that ....but it does give it a pretty lil shine for about 2hrs ....And yes this is getting kinda crazy dash bored to air tanks back to dash bored ...But what Im thinking is a fiber-glass home made dash bored just might hold up longer then any cover....And would be a lot stronger for them days ware my son gets bored and wants to take a pen and put lil holes in my dash bored But hey like i say about alot of things on hear if i had the money id get a new one :rollin

Chris, that looks like a pretty good price. I'll remember to check that out when I get ready to fix up my truck.

Yeah. I just spent $239 at JC Whitney for a new dashpad for my 87..
By the way, not to steal the thread, but when the new dashpad is installed, does the front edge go up to the front window bottom rubber seal or under the rubber? I'm havin trouble. It just won't fit right.

Bondo   Duct tape .....o brother i could make a mudder with that .and a 5hp lawn mower engine ...yehaaa....But o yea thats how them custom shops do things...i don't mean a whole dash with fiberglass but i see it ware thay build a dash out of wood, make a enclosure for the tv bondo  in any wanted shapes And thay pad it and leather it up or what ever thay wanna use ....I thought about it. but y have a tv in a truck ...So i can go offroading and turn on the food channel ???:hat
