 Hi Everybody,
yeah, I´m new here too,   I´m Bobby, just turned 57 years old and fulfilled a lifelong dream by buying a 76 C10 V8 350 Custom Deluxe. I live in Germany, about 25 miles north of Frankfurt.
i was stationed here with the British Army back in the day and just stayed here when everybody else left.
Now, owning this baby and getting parts shipped to Germany is going to be expensive but really worthwhile for me, hope you natives are friendly and don´t bite, cos I´m going to be needing some good advice as I go along.  really happy to be here ...

Hi everybody, I've been building a 1980 K20 4x4. Build posting is on the member ride section but just saw this thread.

I'm 58, living in western Washington with wife, two high schoolers and dogs up in the foot hills.  Kids are not at all interested in turning wrenches so I've got a few friends who help out. Bought the 1980 to be a donor chassis and drive train for my 1952 International pickup, the truck I learned to drive on and saved from the family farm. Recovered the '52 three years ago and acquired the k20 in the fall. Spent 1.5 years fixing up the mechanical, but by then had decided I'd electrify the' 52.  So I'm finishing up the '80. Unfortunately I hadn't chosen that good a body and ended up with total overhaul. Will get it finished (are they ever finished??) this fall or winter.

Look forward to continuing discussions with others.

Mark
