Looking good!

Couldnt have done it w/o your help ,
even all the pieces i bought from you were done and came out perfect, i got a box full of parts right now all bubble wrapped with parts sitting and looking forward to opening them once its time to put the truck back together after paint.

Hello all,
well i got more parts powdercoated, i got the rest of my bedrails done and also got the gas pedal pieces powdercoated as well.I been working on my 70 alot and its just about done so its close to being roadworthy, i`m gonna start working on the cab very shortly and i like to try n get all the bodywork done on it by Christmas. Then i`m having my 01 ram truck repainted around that time so alot is going on in the garage.I am also gonna try n get all the rear suspension pieces powdercoated as well.So hoping next year is a good year to put a big dent in its progress and hope to put her in paint.

thanks
pat

That lil truck was so cool with the 350 in it.But i`m stepping it up now with a big block.Should be pretty good since its only gonna be a show truck and a weekend truck. That truck there towed a open car trailor and a 2600lb car 200 miles and never flinched.Man it was a cool ride but this 1 will be better i cant wait to finish it.

thanks

Tonight was a pretty progressive night,
i ended up removing the nose off the truck, the square hole where once the factory a/c was where you could see the heater core was the hole was welded up with a plate and smoothed out.Almost time to start doing filler work to the firewall. Also welded up 1 side of the cab where the drip rails were and the 1 hole for the cab moulding was as well and used some all metal from USC after cleaning up the welds.Still no progress on my camera to take pics(darn thing doesnt want to upload to the computer) so i`ll see if i can try n upload pics.I`m hoping to get the stud gun dent remover tool and finish the cab within a month or 2.

thanks

Well i got my camera up n going(turned out to be the camera after all). But been working on it alot, i will post some pics this week.I got about50% of the cowl done, i am about to drill out the spot welds of the 85 dash and gonna fit the one i bought from a member here a while ago.But i found another soft spot on the firewall on the side up by the fender so i gotta weld in a new piece as i cut it out(1 inch by 1 inch). But its taking quite a bit of time.I got the sterring column/master cylinder bracket removed and started welding up the seam. But this week i`ll snap some shots.I figure this week i`ll weld up that small hole, weld up some more screw holes as well as the drip rail holes on the pass side..Let me tell you this i WONT be doing this much work to another truck again. To me this is more labor intense then the work i did to my cougar.

thanks

Well here are some snapshots of the firewall and the 1 pic so far of the roof i had to put a piece of metal into the rood cause of rot.

the ugly part of the firewall  i`m gonna work on.As you can see the breacket is removed that the steering column and the master cylinder is attached to.

These are it for now, i`m working on the firewall alot, i wont do this much work again i guartanee.
