man i feel bad for you. 350-400 a month is incredible.
i almost ran one off the road today not on purpose and it was some kind of import.i pull in the driveway and he rolls down the window "you need to watch you're driving"and i say "well i'm sorry" in a smart @$$ way and then he spins out in the road and makes a weak eerr and barely got sideways and i need to watch my driving.
yeah he was cool alright.

Hey I live in mesa and a buddy of mine had a 76 he is parting out and I could probably get those parts you need for cheap if he still has it. Let me know if you want me to check and what all you need. For the lower grill panel and parking lights he would probably want around $20.00.

that would be awesome if you could! does he have the chrome trim on the lower grille too? i'll even pay extra for it if needed. i'd also like to take a look at it if possible, there are other things i need for the inside.

sorry 'bout the accident....but is that what the ticket was for, failure to maintain your vehicle? I would find that a little hard to believe...as it is an older truck and does not have abs and if you hit the brakes hard enough...yeah the brakes are gonna lock up but you can't really prevent it the accident...especially if there isn't anywhere else to go besides into the person. Personally if I had a choice between rear ending the car, heading into head on traffic or a ditch, the car would be the target. Some cops can be @**es and what not that or rookies, never know. funny thing, I personally saw a cop back into my friends saab...I was laughing so hard.

yea, it was something like "failure to control speed in order to avoid accident" i was going 45 like i was supposed to, then he stopped when it turned yellow. had he not been there, there was no way i could've stopped before the intersection. what happened with the cop and your friend?

the cab is a 80, the front end i believe is 73-78. i'm not sure about the bed, it might be a different year. my neighbor was a tow truck driver, and he got this truck after a serious accident and started it as a project, then sold it to my brother before he moved. i don't remember it having a bed, so it might've been taken off a newer one.

Im sure it is a newer bed. but anyway, I can honestly say i think this is the best looking truck ive seen. Would be nice if you can keep us updated on the progress since the accident, i would love to see it when you finish.
