Got it!  I pulled out the two lower bellhousing to engine block bolts on the passenger side and cleaned them.  When I sprayed brake cleaner into the second bolt hole, nothing came back out, not a drop!  I put a generous amount of thread sealer on the bolt, let it sit for a day and then drove it to work this morning.  NO LEAKS, NONE.  Must have gotten into an oil passage?  I wonder if there was some debris in the hole and it pushed through when I tightened the bolts after swapping the trans.  Whatever, it's done.  I can park in my driveway now

I am having a similar issue. SO, m question is... how can oil come from anywhere concerning the bellhousing? Is that what you meant by 'getting into a oil passage'?? My leak is showing up on both sides if the engine. Does this mean that I might have more than one bellhousing bolt causing problems? I am also considering the idea that the distributor gasket is compromised in some way... If anyone sees this, please let me know.

I'm having similar issues but I suspect my cheap valve covers are the problem.
