So I did the swap last night. I got the 73-80 2wd body mounts and they fit great. The kit was very much similar to the ones I show in the top pic, but the tallest bushings were replaced with rather short ones (shorter than the other 4) that went on the rad support. I took some pics.

Wow, were the factory ones every rotted! They were in nasty shape. The amount of dirt, dust and rust that dropped out of the bolt hole when I took the bolt out was ridiculous! My frame and undercarriage is pretty clean too, thanks to a body-off resto in 99 by a previous owner. I don't know though if he installed new body mounts at that time, but if he did, then OEM-style rubber ones should be tossed away every few years! I could definitely see how rust would form around these points considering how dirty it was removing them.

Installing was pretty simple. The new ones went in easier than getting the old ones out, due to the way the new ones went together by having a separate sleeve instead of a sleeve with a flange on it. I jacked up the one side and did two, then the other side and did two and finally the front end for the rad support bushings. As for the rad support bushings......wow, lots of moisture trapped in there. I took the bolts out and they were covered in wet sludge. I washed my truck 2 weeks ago and there was plently of wetness left over.  I took a pic of the bolt that is at the rad support mount near the battery because you could see actual diameter reduction of the bolt on the shaft above the threads from the corrosion! Luckily though there was no rust on the frame or on the body.

I did this project because of my cab sagging on the drivers side and I'm glad I did it, even if just to get all the dirt and dust out from under the bushings. I didn't have a chance to really check out if the body is sitting even now because my parking gear isn't engaging correctly after I pulled the truck out of the garage. I made a new post about that under Engine/Drivetrain.
