shaving drip rails

i want to shave my drip rails but i was wondering if it would leak around the door. or if theirs anything i can do to keep it from leaking after their shaved. if it will cause a problem, ima just leave it alone. thanks

If you ditch the drip rails, water will run off the roof and get you a little wet when you open the door.  If you have patience, just wait a couple seconds then exit the vehicle...proble solved.  Personally, if it is a driver, and you don't plan to customize it much...keep 'em on.  If you plan to customize your truck and won't be driving it all over the planet...get rid of 'em.  :)

it really isn't noticeable with them gone, i got just as wet getting out of my dads truck with drip rails as i do with my truck without...it's only a few drops of water

or you could paint them to make them blend in better.
