Anyone running a full topless Blazer with an 81-91 nose?
« on: April 01, 2007, 10:07:00 PM »
I'd like to see some pics as I'm seriously considering my next project to be another 73-75 blazer but swapping the nose. Some of you may remember my 75 I had to sell because of ex wife:evil

If I would get off my butt and put it together I would have a pretty sweet one. Mine is a 74 factory 2wd. I bought and stripped a 1989 2wd suburban with a 350/700r4. I used the front clip and the drivetrain from the sub. Also I took the complete wiring harness, ac setup, and computer out of it as well. I will have the benefits of the 89 truck with the cool looks of the whole removable top. I am running leather seats from a 02 tahoe. Also running a truck tailgate from a 1986. I plan on running a grey fast track top from stc.

I also cut the rear of the frame and moved my gas tank forward about 2.5 inches so I could run a roll pan. I also cut the front frame horns down so I could run a front roll pan as well.

Very cool - keep the pix coming. I can't stop thinking about doing one of these again!
