second shift lever get stuck
« on: September 25, 2007, 01:14:30 AM »
Hi, i have a Chevrolet Blazer 1980:
- inline 6 cylinders
- 250 ci
- 4x4
I live in Perú.

My truck has a problem:
When i go to the beach and want to connect the front axle it is all right, but whe i leave from sand to the highway and want to disconnect the 4x4 traction the second shift lever get stuck.

My solution is to rise one wheel with the jack, disconnect the manual hubs of the front wheels and then move the second lever to 2Hi.

Why is it happening?

Thanks

what transfer case do you have? try putting the truck in neutral 1st.

Vile, Would that old rule . Drive in Reverse for 10 or 20 feet then try?
