The first pic shows the roller size difference between a pre-77 and a post 77. The 2nd and third picks shows someone's solution to not install the larger post 77 rollers. Unfortunately this guys solution rubs the motor cage aginst the regulator gear as seen in pic 3 and 4.
I've got to replace the modified rubbing regulator with one that doesn't rub..
my choices are..
1. Replace the larger post 77 rollers on the new regulator with the smaller pre77 rollers.
2. Replace my 1975 window sash and lower roller track with the larger post 77 style.
Right now I'm leaning toward option#2 but am concerned that my thicker 1975 glass might be too tight for a post 77 sash.
The existing small roller hack seems to be handing electric motors torque so option #1 is viable if I can find the smaller replacement rollers. Does anyone know if the pre73 rollers work on a 1975 sash?
