PLease forgive my ignorance, I watched the gas tank refurb video series in this thread, and I see most of you guys use this to simply stop MORE rust from occuring?WHne you do apply it to something, say your frame rails under the bed, do you go over the rusted stuff with a grinder first, then start with the etching chemicals, then the prep THEN the paint finally? Is the end product the same "looking" finish as powdercoating?does the grinder/wire brush, etc have to be done before doing this? the reason I ask is that my truck has like, 1% rust on it somehow, but could I still benefit if I used the etcher and the por15/ or chassis saver etc.what shouldn't it be used on?
