Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

Thanks guys, I don't have too many pictures of my Blazer in digital, just on paper because I did most of the work about 9 years ago. I just found this site a few days ago and it has me all fired up to start working on my 1986 K10 4x4 shortbed again.    ;D

Most of the welding is done on it except for the bed, but I'm thinking of getting a southern bed for on it. I have replaced the inner and outer cab corners, inner and outer rocker panels, I had to reskin the roof because it was rotted out. I got a roof at the junkyard for $100.00. My firewall on the drivers side was rotted out from the bottom up into the cowl several inches down from the windshield. Luckily my parts Blazer had a good firewall in it that I was able to use. Also after blasting around the rear window I found that it was swiss cheese too, I was able to use sections of my junkyard roof for it so it worked out well.

My truck has dual gas tanks, both was shot so I got 2 new tanks plus 2 sending units for in them. The old 305 my truck had bad bearings/crank so I got a 350 horse .040 overbore 350 4 bolt main long block, and finished it off with an Edelbrock Performer EGR Intake, Edelbrock carb. and an Accel HEI distributor.

I had my 4 speed trans. rebuilt, It got to the point it was getting harder to hold it in third gear and my clutch started to slip. I've put on new springs front and rear, shocks, 6" lift and 35" tires. I still need to get the front clip, doors, bed, door glass, windshield and interior parts.

I'm planning on painting it Black Cherry or something close to that, with a black interior. I'll post some pictures of it when I get back to it.
