After 185K the drivers door on my 2000 K2500 is starting to sag.
I bought new bushings and pins from GM.
Tried to install them today (sunday).
Removed the door and drove out the old bushings without any problems.
Went to install the new bushings and they just seem to big.
Googled it and came up with a bunch of utube videos where the bushings slide right into place.
I tried a hammer, c clamp, using a nut and bolt to act like a press, destroyed them in the process. Went to autozone and bought anouther kit, same results. The replacement bushings are just to big for the hinge (i haven't even gotton to the bottom hinge where the bushings attach to the door.
My truck is a 2000 but it's the old 88-98 body style.
Thanks for any advice.
Fitz.
