front end problems, how to fix?
« on: February 15, 2009, 02:27:50 am »
hi i got an 86 Chevy 4x4 that i am starting to fix and the other day i noticed when i changed the front left tire i grabbed the hub and could move it in every direction almost like it had no ball joints or something. Is it an easy fix?  or am i looking to rebuild the entire front diff? thank you. ???

You'll have to look and see what is moving. If the brake rotor is moving with axial play when you move the wheel and there is no movement around any of the joints you have loose wheel bearings. You'll have to pinpoint it yourself though.
