hei or external ignition

My engine starts to miss fire on high rpms.  I was told I could get a hotter hei distributer to stop this, or would this be a good oppetunity to change to an external ignition?   Is it hard to change from hei to external?

It's not hard to retrofit an MSD or the like. It's definitely the most overlooked upgrade you can do. You probably just need a tune up though.

r u saying that an hei to external ignition is overlooked...i was thinking of changing to external.   Do you recommend any kit or ect
