88 intermittent wipers modules

 Has any body torn down a 88 intermittent wiper module, component wise, I have two that don't work.
The wipers do work in high and low also wash but no delay. in my 88 GMC Suburban  I'm going to use the column from a 87 Suburban, same system. for my panel truck project and  it would be nice to know.
Parts around where I live are either twice what you get from autozone 125miles away, same to nearest toy yard , junk yard to those who don't know the diff. or the guy be hind the counter give you the squeamish look like I realy don't want to give you a heart attack at the price. or just can't find the right book to look it up.  
or could it be the switch in the column?  
 Can anyone help???

Thank you, very much for the link, this well help if I decide to go new,which will most likely be the case,
But I still want to know what the components in the box are.
