colum swap good or bad idea?

ok so i have an 84 c10 2wd an i needed a new colum cuz the nukle was all messed up so i had a 70s 3/4 ton lwb 2wd deisle that had a colum so i swaped them. now i also re wierd my truck compleatly with a ez wiering setup it is a 26 circut an im not useing half of it haha. any way the colum wont hook up to the clip of the wiering harness that is suposed to hook up tthe colum. shoud i just take the wiers out of the clip an try to make it work or what im not the best at wiering but i can figuer it out. any ideas?

I'm not familiar with the 70 setup but i would suggest maybe taking the wiring harness off the 84 and try to make it work with the 70 should be color coated if not just use a tester and see what get continuity when you turn things on one by one the only problem i can think of right now is going to be your high beam switch and wipers
