small block questions

Hi I am looking into geting a 73-87 chevrolet 2wd i need help with what i am going to do as far as building a small block preferably a 350 for i want it to hit a pretty good lick and make decent hp but still be a daily driver i am wondering what to do as far as a cam, heads, valve train, intake and carb

First welcome to the site. Second you have infinite variables, perhaps you should do some research on here for similar rides and decide what it is YOU want and what your goals are. Some people build on a budget, others $ is no object so from what you wrote it's kinda hard to give you a straight answer especially since it's one long sentence  :P

How much money do you want to spend?
Do you want to build one or buy one?
How much experience do you have with engines?
