Process of elimination...I dont know how far you troubleshot. I would start by checking if there is actually 12 volts to the switch. if so..then press the switch and make sure 12 volts is leaving the switch. If 12 volts isnt to the switch you will have to go back the other way. fuse or wire....With you moving the motor and wires around durring replacement you might have pulled something between the switch and the motor. If 12 volts is leaving the switch to the motor then with the button pressed you need to check at the motor connection for 12 volts. You might want to get a Haynes book from Auto zone for your truck. They have some helpfull drawings in there. I have window motor problems but mine are 22 years old. I am fixing to be replacing my motors to. Does Auto zone require a core for these units? Hope this helps. You are probably a better troubleshooter than I a ever knew but this is a start. If it was just working, I dont see a big problem. I would say the 12 volts isnt making it to the motor due to a connection or pulled wire.
