Changing back to a th350
« on: March 20, 2010, 01:04:05 pm »
My 75 is a bit of a frankenstein. 75 cab and chassis, 84 i think bed, doors, and clip, early 700r4 trans from third gen camaro
Trans leaks bad and doesnt shift worth a dang so Im changing back to a th350. I paid $100 for a used long tail that I was told worked well. I plan on replacing front and rear seals, filter, and vacuum modulator and putting it in as is.
I need a 75 shift display for a th350. I have a OD display right now. If I need to, I can reuse the needle and cable but I definitely need the back display

Anyone have any idea what else I will need for the swap? Will my shifting linkage and stuff be the same still? I think I can use the flywheel and crossmember and since I have a 9" tail th350 I wont need to get a different driveshaft

Thanks

Why not just fix your leaks? What's the 700R4 doing?

Trans gets really hot, shifts late, and hard
