swapping 87 fenders and hood on 78

so i noticed on my 87 silverado the two front fenders and hood are shorter than my 78's .. im wanting to put the 87 hood and fenders on the 78.... can this still be done?

You have to swap the whole front clip. There are posts from people who have done it.
