I am not sure if I am missing a part or not, but how is the lead from the sending unit supposed to attach to the fuel gauge?

What year is your truck? Single or dual tanks?

It's an 84' K20 with Dual tanks now, I had to install them myself, the guy I got the truck form had some old dump truck tank welded into the bed! And the fuel tank install walk through was a life saver.
