No, she isn't very smart to assume that.  I am not a teen, and I don't think I would've won, however, I am saying it is wrong because the title of the contest is a misnomer.

She had an unfair advantage being the only contestant with the British accent. ;)

That's a good example of what's wrong with America today. We try to accomodate everybody. When you start doing that on a large scale, such as an entire country, it turns out that nothing is wrong. But at the same time nothing is no longer right either.

She doesn’t look too ‘British' either... whatever ‘British’ means these days anyway.

One thing I would say is, that paper ‘The Mail’ is a trashy paper anyway, that likes to blow everything out of proportion.

Now I can understand if she lived in the state and entered even if she is British but what happens if she doesn't return to the state that scholarship is gone for someone here that could use it and she even said that they go on vacations and she enters in beauty contests
