i know this is an odd one but here we go:
we are working on my dads 51 right now, and we have a new tank and a sending unit from an S10 that seems to fit perfectly, but its an intank pump on it, which tells me that its EFI.
can we run it and a pressure regulator(return Line style) to get it to work with the carb? or would it not work too well and burn the pump? we are trying to do this as cheap as possible, and a regulator is 30$(holly) compared to a 100$ plus sending unit and mech/inline pump.
anyone ever used a regulator to get it to work or is this asking for problems.
