Hows this one for you? A guy over here had his gas turned off for non-payment. He cut the lock off his gas meter and turned the gas back on. He then proceeded to blow his house up with him and 6 family members inside. All suffered non-life threatening injuries of various degrees. Now get this.... He sued Center Point Energy and was awarded 11.5 MILLION Dollars because Center Point did not do enough to keep him from turning his gas back on! 
I can kind of see how they don’t make it that hard but maybe his family should sue him then the gas company should press charges and send this guy back to jail maybe something for arson since I bet the tank caught on fire lol my bud had his gas turned off he turned it back on didn’t pay the bill then once he ran out he put it all back the way it was and called the gas company out to turn it back on he paid then. but the guy noticed the tanks were empty, and I was the only one there he asked me what did he do for heat I told him he had a little lp take with a heater on it worked good for one room then once he put a full bottle on one side (a) it started to fill the other side (b) and he had the empty side (b) turned off it was leaking. He looked confused so I said couldn’t all of the gas leak out and empty the tanks he said yup made a couple calls and no charges were made for the empty tanks
