73-80 Clear Side Marker Lights
« on: September 23, 2010, 08:51:42 pm »
Found some of the clear ones everybody wants.  no orange at all   They look Good and are Deluxe.

I also wonder how the lenses for this would look on a stock backing plate.  Minus the altezza type stuff.   Might look good if the backing plate was chromed or something.

I have a set of those and they are nice. It's the 81 up ones that are harder to find. The clear tails wouldn't look bad if you smoked them.

I just dont understand why the aftermarket is stuip for a lack of better words. Why cant they just take a factory inner housing and chrome it or design it like the new chevys.. really reflective and what have you, and market that. that would be wicked cool.

I see a lot of bad looking aftermarket lights. so they sell for whatever reason... I have a set like what you describe. I will post pics soon, so check back

My tail lights are simular to those without the red lense. I thought about getting those and then doing a night shade on the red pieces. Would turn out being something totally unexpected. I went for the all clear instead. I'm just somebody that likes doing what hasn't already been done or isn't as common at least.

I went with them because they are a little fresher looking but I didn't want them to be the focus when you look at the back of the truck.

here's a link to the pic;

Those are the best looking ones.

Do you realize the round part of the light sticks out of the lens? In other words they do not have the smooth contour like the factory lights, they buldge outward.

Yeah, I saw they stick out.   they're the best looking of all the lights that aren't stock, though I still like my stockers better.

Just checking, looks can be deceiving with pix. I don't think they look bad either..... I'd have to stare at them for a while in real life to decide.
