how many leafs stock?

got to looking under my truck today and counted the leafs front and rear. the front has 5 leafs and the rear has 6 leafs. what did a long bed k10 originaly come with or is mine still origninal? it sits higher than most other "stock" longbed half tons i see around here.

Which way are the front springs arched? No one can really tell you how many it came with stock because it varied.

Level or slightly arched like the rears.

My K-20 had 3 front and 7 rear.   With 5 in the front, my plow blade wound only drop the nose 1/2".

I hauled a ton and a half of gravel back in the spring and it squated pretty good and did not handle well at all lol but if they are original springs then they are 25yr old too. I'm mainly just curious as to what it should have. Would my rpo codes be able to tell me? I've been thinking about looking for a good set of springs from a k20 to throw on since I'm usualy always hauling motors transmissions gravel a few times a year and eventualy a car trailer.

my 94 only has 3 in the rear thought someone had to take one or more out till i saw a 99+ with only 3

Most of the half tons that I have seen have 2 negative arch springs in the front and anywhere between 4 and 8 in the back, but who knows if they have been changed. If you have 5 in the front of your half ton, and they are arched like the rears I would guess that they are not original.

I ment to look today before I left for work but I'm pretty certin the fronts are almost level or slightly arched.
