Aftermarket seats
« on: December 25, 2010, 09:44:20 pm »
I love my buckets dearly, but I'm getting tired of HAVING to drive the car when I pick up the kids.  That and for other things, I've just been needing to be able to ride 3 people at one time.  So, I'm looking for a good aftermarket seat.  I'm not even going to try the later model way, as nothing I get will match my interior like I want.  Even my buckets I have now are burgandy and not red.

Do any of you guys have any aftermarket seats like these?  What stores should I check out?  Any stores to stay away from?

I've been looking at this site, and here's a few examples of what I'm looking for.

Here's the Brick color

Heres all the 40-20-40 seat choices.  I like their consoles the best over other brands.

Here's a short review a guy did on another site about the seats from the above website.

So far I like the seats from the links above.  I'm pretty sure I want cloth though for the summer time.  I'll also have to pick out colors for it.  I think brick for the main cloth color, and either brick in a different pattern or black for the seat inserts.  What do you guys think?

What about a roll bar with a couch and harnesses? lol. I'm not sure if that's legal...

All normal practicality and rational money handling goes out of the window when it comes to my truck.

How do you like those seats?   Those consoles look like they have some decent space in the seat folded down position.   I'm sooo not wanting to get rid of my '91 burban buckets, as they're literally the most comfortable car/truck seat I've ever had.   I hate to get rid of them, but I need the third sear as well as the extra storage.  If I have to choose between the extra storage or a 3rd person riding......  somebody's gonna be walking.... ;D

The track for the one in the blue truck was a seperate sub assembly that you bolted the seats to. You had a few choices of how you could set it up as I believe it fits more than one application. The black one is a bolt in direct and fits the factory holes.
