high and low beams
«

I want to wire up my headlights so my high and low beams come on when I hit the high beams. I have tried this today with no luck. right now when I flick my highs on my lows go super dim. I know this is the way it is supposed to be but i do a ton of driving old country roads and i what to have super bright light out put. i thought it would be just a matter of running one wire from the sprae output on the bulb to the other low beam head light but that didnt work. I should also mention I am running a H4 bulb set up, i ditched my sealed bulbs long ago. so now my headlight is just a housing for the h4 bulbs for high and low beam.

If you have h4 housings, go HID. I did, I love it. And to wire the highs and lows together, you have to use a relay. The power wire from the high beams needs to be rerouted to the "switch" spot on a relay, then the "switched" out put of the relay goes to the power spot on the High and Low beam bulbs. run the "Power" wire of the relay to the battery and the "ground" to any ground. All other wires on the bulbs stay. The low beams will have 2 wires going to the power spot.
