I put in a set of Hedman Elite headers in my '77 K20.  They fit good, have 1/4" thick plate at the ports and have thicker wall tubing.  I would advice against the ball socket collector setup though.  They are constantly loosening up!  I have tried trick in the book to keep it from happening, but they start getting loose after about a month and I am back under there fighting them again.

I have a set of Thorley (not Dougs) headers and they fit great. They have thicker port flanges to help against warping.

I'm working on my truck now (78 K20), haven't placed them in yet, but the guy's at summit said that Hedman would fit. I'm about two weeks away from getting the engine back in the truck. I will let you know how it went.  ::)

Are you replacing all the exhaust? tubing and muffler?
