could be the headlight switch or dimmer switch. did you try to switch from high to low beams?

hey i had that same issue for you it might be the headlight or dimmer but if its not check the wire going from the starter to the alternator i had my parking lights working but my head lights wouldnt work found out the wire from the starter to alternator had touched my header and burnt in half

so the first thing i checked was the dimmer switch...turned it all the way left and right and nothing.  turned the lights on and off a few times and nothing.  i'm new to this truck and am still trying to figure it out.  i assumed that the hi beam is like on newer vehicles...where its a pull back/push forward on the turn signal switch...but that's not it.  then i went to see if there were 3 positions on the actual headlight switch...like parking lights, then headlights, then high beam...but no haps.  i'll take a look at the wire from the starter to the alternator and see if that's it.

so it seems as there is a short or something.  sometimes the lights turn on and sometimes not. but i've really noticed that if the radio is on...the lights don't come on...headlights that is.  is the radio and headlight fuse one in the same?  any ideas??

the radio and lights arnt connected anyway sound like a connection or switch problem, lets say if the lows dont work and you switch to highs. will they work? or the other way around?

so i was driving the truck over the weekend and i pulled up behind a lady at the light.  i say to myself..."let me see if these work"...cause i know i'll be able to see the reflection.  and low and behold...they worked.  i didn't want to flick my lights so i just turned them off.  i got home to check and nothing.  i've always got parking lights...just no headlights
